It’s alive!

SVDS was founded by seasoned data science experts Sanjay Mathur and John Akred, along with entrepreneurial investors Jim McLean, Jim Sims, and Peter Loukianoff. They had seen first-hand that the hardest part of doing data science well is building strong and diverse teams. Their passion for pairing data science with engineering, and enterprise know-how with start-up agility, led to the birth of Silicon Valley Data Science.
